How To Apply

Application Process

Applications open April 1!

  1. Check your eligibility and closely review the program guidelines.
  2. Review design and construction standards.
  3. Recruit neighbors to join your team. 
  4. Select a team captain.
  5. Contact Invest DSM to let us know you’ll be applying and to schedule a virtual or in-person meeting with the whole team.
  6. Meet with your team at least twice before applying, with Invest DSM staff attending one of the meetings.  
  7. Complete and submit the team application for your group and an individual scope of work form for each participant. (Applications are due the last calendar day of each month).
  8. Receive approval from Invest DSM. (Staff review applications during the first two weeks of the following calendar month. The team captain receives a confirmation email, and letters of approval are sent to each team member via email).
  9. Begin work on your project!
